Piano Recital

On Sunday, December 16th, Sammie had her second piano recital.

She did a wonderful job and played "Good King Wenceslas". The song has an interesting and debatable history of whether King Wenceslas went out on that day or "looked out". It has been a long-time Christmas song.

Fire Department Training

Well, every few months we have to check off on our medical skills to keep up our status as First Responders and our EMT licenses.

This last training in December, we had the kids with and unlike most kids, they were willing "victims" and let us practice strapping them in the board made for kids. (Most kids won't volunteer and panic when strapped in). Sammie is probably about the biggest kid you can get it in. She is six but about the size of a 5 year old.
